Christmas Eve was the most frustrating time with "those" shoppers. They had 363 days to find gifts and they show up minutes before close expecting the world to come to a standstill while they shop like its a day in June.

The last few years I ran Wal Mart stores I hired off duty uniformed police to work the last couple hours and stay until staff was out of the store.

It was harder to argue with a police officer than a tired store employee. Still, a few argued anyway to no avail. One nearly got herself arrested.

It was some of the best money I ever spent on behalf of my employees. OK, and myself.
